This year has been filled with so many great adventures and memories I will remember for a lifetime. It's always amazing to look back on a year and think about all the ups and downs the challenges and growth that has happened. I'm thankful for everything that has happened this last year and I can't wait to keep growing. In 2017 I will be married and I can now start growing together with my soon to be husband! If I think 2016 has changed a lot 2017 is going to be a whirlwind of change and new experiences.
I feel so lucky to be an esthetician at a spa, it allows me to meet so many different people of all walks of life and really learn from their stories. I really feel like I meet each and every one of them for a reason, if they can teach me something or learn from something they had happen. The biggest thing I've learned from all my clients this year is how short life really truly is. We always talk about putting things off because well... "We have our whole lives ahead of us!" It's true in one sense BUT not to sound negative... We really don't know that. How do we know how long we have, how do we know how long we have with our loved ones? Time is one of the most important things in life. It's something you can't buy, it's something you can never get back, it's always slowly running out. So stop waiting! Stop waiting to make a career change, stop waiting for something to magically happen so you can finally be happy. Go out there and do it yourself. The world is your oyster! Life is too short to not enjoy every second of it with the ones you love.
I'm so thankful for all the experiences we have had this last year. We saw so many incredible new places. We didn't just go through the every day motions, we got out there and lived a life we wanted. It wasn't always easy, actually most of the time it took a lot more effort, planning and usually included lack of sleep. But remember it's never too late to make a change.
I started working on my goals today which I will talk about in another post but it made me think about a documentary we watched last night on Netflix called The Minimalists. ( Don't worry I'm not saying throw everything you own away and just be free.) I think everyone needs to go watch it, it will make you re think so many things! It talked a lot about how you will feel less stress with less "stuff" one of my goals for 2017 is to declutter! It always feels good to get rid of unnecessary "stuff" that no longer has meaning or serves a purpose in our lives. What are some of the goals you guys are making this year?! Comment below, I always love hearing about people New Years goals/resolutions!
I also just want to say thank you so much for all of your love and support since I recently started this blog!
