It's My 25th Birthday!

I can't believe today is my 25th birthday! It's never ceases to amaze me how quickly times passes. I feel like it was just yesterday I was starting out year 24 by backpacking the Timberline Trail. So Crazy!

As I think about just how fast time flies, it really makes me stop and think about the way I want to live life to it's fullest. I'm very thankful for being an esthetician and working at a spa where I'm able to meet SO many people, from all walks of life. From all age ranges and all backgrounds. Something they all have in common that they continue to remind me of, is how fast time passes. How you might not have tomorrow. You might not be able to do something next week that you were able to do this week. You might not have that family member to spend time with next month. To make sure you don't have regrets. Yes, some of the stories can be very sad and some stories heart warming, bursting with adventure and a life filled with wonderful memories. The biggest thing I take away from all of these people is to try and live my life to it's fullest everyday. Sure everyday I might not be doing outdoor sports, or backpacking around a mountain, or riding 100 miles on my bike or accomplishing some crazy goal thats been on my bucket list. I find the joy in the day to day, I make an adventure out of the small moments. I'm so thankful for Ryan for being my motivator when I'm feeling unmotivated and vise versa. If you don't have some if your life to motivate you that you can think of off the top of your head, let that person be me! We can uplift each other. Remember to not take life so seriously, don't be so hard on yourself. We only have one shot at this life we're living. Let's make it a great one! If there is something that you have been longing to do, GO DO IT! Stop holding back and go for your dreams! You can accomplish anything! <3 What helps me to live in the present when i've had a rough day or start to look at the negative is to take 3 big deep breaths. I think of 3 positive things in the situation. I think of something funny to make me laugh and I think to myself... Things could be so much worse, cheer up buttercup! Those are a few of my tricks that I hope help you out along the way also!

As I mentioned earlier I started out my year 24 backpacking the Timberline Trail that goes around Mt. Hood. I've never done a multi day backpack trip before and it's something I really wanted to check off my bucket list.

I'm so thankful for my feet and all the miles they have carried me and all the beautiful places they have taken me so far. It was a life changing experience to say the least. When you do something like that you really get to connect to nature on a deeper level much greater than just camping for the weekend. You get to drink filtered water fresh from the streams coming down from the mountain.

You get to cross rivers coming right off the glacier, you get to walk through the forest with trees that have stood much longer than I've been alive. Being able to breathe in the cleanest, purest air.

You can't be lazy. You have to carry all your supplies on your back that weigh at least half your body weight. Being in situations where you have to totally focus and be in the present moment so you're able to make split second decisions. If you're with people, having to quickly work together as a team and support each other along the way.

You get to see wildlife in their elements and going on with their day to day life. You realize just how small you and your problems are. You get to disconnect and really enjoy every moment and how precious those moments are.

I look back on year 24 of my life and all the amazing memories I've created and all the things I've gotten to do. From adventuring out of the country, getting engaged to my amazing future

husband, super fun road trips, riding my first century and soooo much more.

I look forward to the future and whats to come for year 25. TIU retreat with my momma, bachelorette party somewhere tropical, getting our VW bus project finished, getting married, and honeymooning!

This years brings a different chapter into my life, one that will be one of the biggest and most memorable.

I can't wait to make this year an awesome one. But first I will enjoy today, staying in the present moment and enjoying the now.

Being thankful for Family, my fiancé, and wonderful friends.

Being thankful for my health and the health of all the people in my life.

Grateful and so blessed with this wonder thing we call life.

I hope you guys continue to make amazing memories and if you're not super stoked with how things are going right now, remember it's not too late to make a change!

Live the life you've always dreamt of living!
